A reason to start writing again...

I have been pretty bad at updating my blog and my website lately. I guess there isn't a "excuse" but I just did not feel like updating. Things have been pretty full on over the last few months. Personal training has been pretty good and I think I had succeeded to take my clients one step closer to their goals. It is hard to change your lifestyle but once you get there you realize that it is worth it.

My own training has been a bit of a struggle. I guess I get a bit lazy sometimes but if you want to maintain a lean, muscular physique 365 days a year you cannot afford being lazy. Tenacity is the key. When the football season finished I lost track a bit and I didn't enjoy spending all my time in the gym. Over the last few months I have done a bit of everything running, weights sessions, power training, some boxing and now I have finally started to enjoy the fitness lifestyle once more. I am trying to cook more healthy food and follow a set program for training.

Another thing that has taken quite some time is training Loki our 9 month old amstaff. Accordingly to our dog behaviorist Liarne Henry at a dogs life he entered his teenage stage. Boisterous, arrogant and with more attitude than he can back up made his training a huge challenge. He is doing pretty well I assume and in a weeks time he will get company from his "little sister" Hua, a 8 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback. Why make things easy, when you can make it hard. :)

The reason I decided to write another entry was that I a couple of weeks ago did a shoot for Sporte Leisure. The crew was great and even though it was a long day time passed quickly. The photographer Warwick Gibson from Big Fish did an amazing job. Yesterday I got this image forwarded to me. It is a shoot of their rain proof jackets. Not bad right?

Yet another busy day:)

As I am writing this blog my head is buzzing and my body aches. Love it! I had a good day today. I had a sleep-in until about 9 am before getting started with finishing my chicken coop. Yes, you heard right. We have decided to get some chickens.

I will most likely get some bantam chickens to move in with me and Camille before Loki, our amstaff arrives this weekend. I will write more about this another time.

In the afternoon I got a job for Sportscraft. Together with another 7
models we showed their new collections on the runway. Great job and great clothes. After finishing just after 7 pm I headed straight to football training. It is only a week and a half until the season starts. I am excited to get into my first season of american football. It was a long time since I played a team sport and really enjoys the feeling of belonging to a team. It is true what they say. "together we can achieve more". Bring it on Lions!

After training I met up with Camille for a late dinner at Yashinoya. For you who do not know what it is. Get over to Oxford st, next to Gloria Jean's and order a gyu-don with an raw egg. Japanese fast-food at it's best.

Hamburg...

As you know I have been around a bit in europe over the last couple of months. Last time I was in Hamburg I went to see my new agent Model Team, Hamburg and some of their clients.

Even though I grew up only a few hours away from Hamburg I have never been before and I must say that that was a mistake. I now put Hamburg as one of my new favorite cities. It could have something to do with I arrived with perfect timing of the arrival of summer but I honestly think that even during the coldest winter day or the rainiest autumn afternoon I would appreciate Hamburg for it's history, architecture and just plain great fun.

I also realized that there are two thing the germans do better than most. Bread and beer. Unfortunately bread and beer isn't a fitness junkies best friend so moderation is the key. I guess it is lucky that I am not staying in europe for too long:)

More of Michael Sosinski

I have finally got some more images from my shoot with Michael Sosinski. Here is a couple more. I am happy with the shoot, especially as we only had a couple of hours in Malmö. We have spoken about doing another shoot in june where we will plan the shoot a bit better and involve some more people. I really enjoyed working with Michael so to get another day of shooting with him is something I would greatly appreciate.

Photographer : Michael Sosinski

Just before I decided to go to Hamburg, Therese at Sweden Models helped me to get in contact with one of their photographers for a test shoot. I went down to Malmö to catch up with Michael Sosinski. Michael is a great guy and I really enjoyed working with him. Having great people around makes work so much easier.

We shot for a couple of hours and had a really great time. Test shoots are always a lot of fun as you leave all the imagination and creativity up to the photographer. Every shoot will look different.

The other day Michael sent me the first couple of images. I was pretty happy with the new style. What do you think? It will be great to get some more images that I can take down to Hamburg.

Germany here I come...

After three weeks in a small village in the south of sweden I have decided to head to Hamburg to meet some of the model agencies there. I have heard a lot of good things from friends who has been working in Hamburg and I am really looking forward to hit the road and see where it will take me.

I find modeling pretty exciting as there is no guarantees to get work or as in this case, an employer. During the next week I am hoping to find an agent who is willing to represent me as well as have time enough to go and see some of their clients for potential future work. I will keep you updated.

If any of you have been to Hamburg and got some recommendations for some tourist attractions please let me know. I am sure I will have plenty of time to have a look around in town as well.

Day Trip to Copenhagen

I have now been back to Sweden for about a week and after a few too many coffees, cakes and welcome home meals it was time to visit my Swedish agent Sweden Models. I needed to figure out if there is any work for me here. I have also thought about getting another test shoot done so hopefully Therese can help me with that.

I am very lucky working with so many nice people. Martin De Courtney and Chadwick models have always looked after me and arriving to Malmö I felt nothing but welcomed by Therese and Camilla at Sweden Models. After a short chat we decided that I should head up to Göteborg and Borås to do see some swedish clients.

As it was still early and I didn't need to be in Göteborg until following day I decided to take Camille to Copenhagen for a walk on one of Denmark most famous streets, Strøget. We left the car in Malmö and jumped on the train over the bridge. It was nice to be able to relax a bit as the following day was going to be a busy one.
