A trip to Rebel Sport

Even though I worked as a model for a few years now iI always find it a bit weird seeing myself in advertising campaigns around town. The other day I was walking around in Broadway when I walked into Rebel Sport.

I saw two jobs I've done in the past, first a older job for the last ski-season then a advertising job I did together with Reebok. It always makes me proud to see that the work I have put in results in something tangible like an poster or billboard.

More of Michael Sosinski

I have finally got some more images from my shoot with Michael Sosinski. Here is a couple more. I am happy with the shoot, especially as we only had a couple of hours in Malmö. We have spoken about doing another shoot in june where we will plan the shoot a bit better and involve some more people. I really enjoyed working with Michael so to get another day of shooting with him is something I would greatly appreciate.

Photographer : Michael Sosinski

Just before I decided to go to Hamburg, Therese at Sweden Models helped me to get in contact with one of their photographers for a test shoot. I went down to Malmö to catch up with Michael Sosinski. Michael is a great guy and I really enjoyed working with him. Having great people around makes work so much easier.

We shot for a couple of hours and had a really great time. Test shoots are always a lot of fun as you leave all the imagination and creativity up to the photographer. Every shoot will look different.

The other day Michael sent me the first couple of images. I was pretty happy with the new style. What do you think? It will be great to get some more images that I can take down to Hamburg.

GQ Australia Feb/March 2009

Just grabbed the new issue of GQ magazine just to realize that photographer James Demitri once again has done a terrific job. On page 65 you can see my new editorial.

The shoot was a lot of fun and the single images does not show the amount of work that went in behind it. Great Magazine, great people to work with and a great day all together. Check out James webpage at

for more wicked images and the opportunity to purchase his new book, James Demitri - Portfolio. (Yes, I had the pleasure to squeeze myself into that one as well)

SPFX - Finished Product

A while ago I posted a blog about a job I did including special effects and make up. I have just received a touched up version of some of the images. I must once again give credit to David Willis who is the brain behind making this happen together with Pedro Virgil as a photographer.

Please check both of their webpages out for more amazing projects. Jobs like this you very rarely get the chance to participate in. There is also a video component in post production so there is more to look forward.

Enjoy the images as don't forget to have a look at David Willis page: www.studiovida.net and Pedro Virgil homepage at www.pedrovirgil.net

Special FX Make up...

Working in front of the camera you get the chance to do a lot of different jobs and you get the chance to work with some amazing and talented people. About a year ago I got asked to participate in a project that involved special effect make up. Having seen a fair amount of Sci-Fi movies I had always wondered how they came up with all the creatures and story lines.

A few weeks later I met up with photographer Pedro Virgil and make-up artist David Willis. I got told that my role was to become a gargoyle. After a couple of meetings I ended up in David workshop where he started to make casts of my head, feet, hands and teeth. I recommend anyone who suffers from claustrophobia to stay away from this procedure.

I was amazed when I came back a couple of weeks later to see what David had created. We had our first fitting and polished on some of the features. One more fitting and we where ready to get serious.

At 3am we started what ended up being a 12 hour transformation. After all prosthetics where in place I got airbrushed from head to toe. As you can see David is a man with incredible talents. As the sun went down we headed to the location, an old cemetery where Pedro had set up lighting and smoke machines. Over the next few hours David and his team worked on the make up and Pedro made sure to capture every step of the way.

Even though it was in the middle of the winter and both me and Candace who played a gothic girl where freezing we succeeded to make it happen and after almost 23 hours of hard work we could relax. The shoot was a success. I will have a sample of the finished product in a couple of weeks. Until then... have a look at some of the back stage material.

I feel privileged to work with so talented people. Have a look at David and Pedro websites. There is a lot more amazing projects there.
